Week 2 Workouts and Monday Morning Fun

Here are my week's workouts and I am super excited about them (except those track workouts..those kick my butt!) My husband loves loves loves track running and I hate it..I suppose opposites attract right!? I love the variety  that Alyssa (find her at homefieldfitness) gives me each week and all the workouts challenge me (like this morning..goodness) but they're not too hard that I'm just so burned out by thinking I can't complete them. So about my run this morning...it was a mix of running and walking splits and for the first couple sets I was fine, but then I hit a wall. I always hear about runners "hitting the wall" but that's when they're running marathons and other crazy things like that. How lame am I that I "hit the wall" at about mile 2...lucky me! Ha! Oh well, I still was able to finish the workout (with a little extra walking..shhhh don't tell my sis!) and I feel much  better knowing that hopefully it will be a little easier next time. I also love this week's quote and recipe! Super excited to try out those pancakes!
I ran to my friend's house (how blessed am I that most of my friends live so close to me!) and I finished with my upper body pyramids with her dumb bells and chatted about her plans for her new baby's nursery (she's 15 weeks along! Woohoo!) while she cleaned her house. Lovely morning! I came home to a fresh pot of coffee, some leftover acai bowl from a snack yesterday and a whole wheat waffle. I topped off my brunch with a huge mason jar of ice water complete with a crazy curly straw.

I'm headed in for training at my new job in a little bit and I'm excited to see how this new venture goes. Oh ya, I got a job! I wasn't really looking for one so soon after I was done with my internship turned assistant job (more on that later!) but I had to jump at this opportunity. I'll be working part time at the flower shop on base :) Just the perfect amount of hours while I still get to be creative, learn a new skill, meet some new people and stay busy. Wish me luck and Happy Monday!
