My week is going great so far!
This was my view heading down to one of the beaches on base yesterday moring. We are so incredibly blessed to live so close to such amazing places and beaches. I stayed just for about 30 minutes but it was just enough to soak up some morning sun, pray and start my day off perfectly.
I dropped the husband off at the airport Tuesday night. He's heading back to Fort Collins for a few days to see his little sister graduate high school and see his family. Can you believe that he hasn't seen them in almost 2 years!?! I can believe it because of the military but it's just so crazy to me. He was greeted by tornado warnings and hailstorms so thankfully he made it safely! I hope the weather cooperates and I'm glad he can get some time away from work and enjoy some family time.
My job is going well..I've completed training and today is my first shift working by myself! Wish me luck! I do love flowers and all around, it's a pretty good job :) Look at this fun little arrangement I made the other day! (Sorry about the picture quality...)
I've been working on some DIY projects and I'm excited to be able to post about them soon. After getting a little burned out, I just wasn't feeling like making anything but I'm starting to get inspired again!
My workouts have been great for the most part! I've talked about how I am a terrible runner and I do think most of it is in my head, I do think that my body is just not meant to run long distances. Overall, I'm definitely seeing positive results. I'm feeling stronger when I lift and definitely when I do cardio. I used to be so active in school because I played sports year round and I never really had to think about it...and I definitely miss how strong I used to be but I am feeling much better and I feel like I can reach the goals I set at the beginning of the 6 week program. This week, Alyssa has had me do all kinds of things and I love how creative every workout is. A mix of cardio and lifting at the beginning of the week and today I did hill run circuits and yoga. Tomorrow I get to play a fun game with a card deck and some heart pumping exercises. I'm almost at the end of Week 3...halfway through...and I am loving it. I crave being active on my off days and I have more energy. I haven't seen too many differences in the way my body looks or the way my clothes fit but I do know that takes time to see physical results so I am not too discouraged. Alyssa is so inspirational to me and you can check her blog and website out at homefieldfitness!!
Happy Thursday
